Site Launch — Terms of Service
Website: sitelaunch.ie

Last updated: 12 February 2026

1) Who we are
Site Launch provides website development and related services (including SEO setup, performance improvements, and ongoing support).

2) These Terms and how they apply
These Terms apply to:
  • your use of sitelaunch.ie, and
  • any services we provide (website build, SEO/promotion, support).
How you accept these Terms: you accept them when you sign a service agreement, pay an invoice, or instruct us to start work. Your short agreement (or invoice/proposal) and these Terms together form the contract.
If any short agreement conflicts with these Terms, the short agreement wins for that specific point.

3) Our right to refuse or stop work
We may refuse to start a project or stop providing services at any time, with reasons given or without reasons.
This can include (for example) projects that are not a good fit, legal/compliance risk, unrealistic deadlines, or where communication or payment becomes an issue.
If we stop work:
  • you remain responsible for paying for work already completed and any committed third-party costs, and
  • any refund (if applicable) is handled under the Refunds section below.
4) Respectful communication
We expect respectful, professional communication. Rudeness, aggressive language, or condescending behaviour is not acceptable.
If this happens, we may pause work until it’s resolved or end cooperation. Any work already completed remains payable.

5) Scope, stages, approvals, and revisions
5.1 Scope
The scope is only what is written in your proposal/Scope (pages, features, integrations, platforms, deliverables). Anything not listed is out of scope.
5.2 Stages (your pricing structure)
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, website projects usually follow these stages:
Stage 1 — Structure and content logic
If you supply content in a usable form (text, services, prices, photos), we can organise the structure and content logic at no extra charge, but it must be approved before we continue.
Stage 2 — Design mock-up (€200)
We produce a mock-up. This includes text edits, but it does not include a full restructure of the site once the structure has been approved.
Stage 3 — Build and setup (from €400/€800/€1,200)
Build and configuration based on the agreed package:
  • Landing page: from €400
  • Multi-page site: from €800
  • Small shop: from €1,200
  • Final price depends on the agreed scope.
5.3 Revisions (3 rounds)
Unless your Scope says otherwise, each stage includes up to 3 rounds of revisions.
Extra revisions, new ideas late in the process, or changes after approval are charged.
5.4 Approvals are final
Once you approve any deliverable (structure, copy, layout, design, pages, SEO items, tracking setup), it is considered final for the agreed scope.
Any later changes can involve extra fees and may affect timelines.
5.5 Scope creep
If requests expand beyond what was agreed (extra pages, new sections, new integrations, copywriting beyond what was included, major restructure), we will quote separately or bill hourly.

6) Client responsibilities
You agree to:
  • provide access, logins, and materials (text, images, brand assets) in good time,
  • confirm you have the rights to use anything you supply,
  • review and approve work promptly,
  • keep your own business claims accurate (prices, services, compliance statements).
Delays in approvals or materials push timelines.

7) Payments, late payment, and pausing work
7.1 Payment terms
Payment is as per your invoice/proposal. Work may require a deposit or staged payments.
7.2 Late payment
Non-payment or late payment is grounds to pause work and/or terminate cooperation.
We may also delay launch/handover until accounts are settled.
7.3 Restart / re-planning after a pause
If a project is paused for an extended period, resuming may require re-planning and may involve a restart fee if significant rework is needed (for example, content changes, platform changes, or outdated assets).

8) Hosting, domains, SSL, and third-party services
You have two options (agreed per client):
A) Client-paid hosting/SSL
We can help you set up hosting and SSL, but you pay the provider directly.
B) Hosted in our ecosystem
We can host within our ecosystem, in which case hosting is paid 12 months in advance, with pricing agreed individually.
In all cases:
  • third-party tools/platforms (hosting, domains, SSL providers, analytics tools, plugins, email services, payment gateways, website builders) have their own terms, pricing, and downtime risks,
  • we are not responsible for third-party outages, changes, or restrictions,
  • third-party purchases are generally non-refundable.
9) SEO, analytics, and results
We can set up SEO foundations, technical improvements, tracking, and practical recommendations.
However:
  • we do not guarantee rankings, traffic, leads, or sales,
  • search engines, competition, and market conditions change.

10) Intellectual property, ownership, and portfolio
10.1 Your materials
You own the content you provide. You confirm you have permission to use it.
10.2 Our work and transfer
Until full payment is received, all deliverables remain ours.
After full payment, you receive the rights/licence to use the final deliverables created for you, as agreed in your Scope.
We retain ownership of:
  • our pre-existing templates, internal frameworks, tools, and reusable components,
  • know-how and methods we use across projects.
10.3 Portfolio
Unless you ask in writing not to, we may show finished work (screenshots/links) in our portfolio. We will not share confidential information.

11) Refunds, cancellations, and termination
11.1 Client cancellationI
f you cancel:
  • you must pay for work completed up to the cancellation date, plus any committed third-party costs,
  • unused prepaid amounts (if any) may be refundable only for work not yet performed, and only where it does not relate to time already reserved or third-party costs already incurred.
11.2 Provider termination
If we end cooperation under these Terms (including for payment issues or unacceptable communication):
  • you must pay for work completed and committed costs,
  • where appropriate, we will provide what has been completed for the paid scope once outstanding invoices are cleared.
Refunds must be reasonable and fair, especially where the client is a consumer.

12) Data protection (GDPR)
Where we access or process personal data on your behalf (for example enquiries, email lists, CRM, analytics data), the client is typically the Controller and we are the Processor.
Where required, we will put a simple Data Processing Agreement in place with the mandatory Article 28 terms (subject matter, duration, nature/purpose, confidentiality, security, sub-processors, breach notification, deletion/return, etc.).

13) Confidentiality
We will treat information you clearly mark as confidential as confidential, unless disclosure is required by law.

14) Liability and limits
We provide services with reasonable skill and care.
To the maximum extent permitted by Irish law:
  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (loss of profit, loss of business, reputational loss),
  • our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the services giving rise to the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under law, and consumer contracts must be fair and clear.

15) Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside reasonable control (provider outages, severe weather, illness, major platform changes, etc.).

16) Disputes and governing law
If an issue comes up, contact us first and we’ll try to resolve it quickly and fairly.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction.

17) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be published on sitelaunch.ie with an updated date.
